More Than Ever
2022
Hélène and Mathieu have been an intimate couple for many years. They lead a happy life in Bordeaux. Hélène, who is only 33 years old, finds her everyday life turned upside down when she learns that only an organ transplant can save her life. In her search for answers, Hélène comes across the website of a Norwegian blogger called 'Mister'. He is ill and uses his blog as a diary that oscillates between sincerity and wry humor. The Norwegian publishes photos and thoughts on his blog that touch Hélène deeply. His way of writing and the beauty of Norwegian nature, which can be seen in some of his photos, fascinate Hélène. She decides to get in touch with the blogger. This is the beginning of a decisive change: suddenly she feels able to articulate her feelings. Although she finds it difficult to leave Mathieu behind in Bordeaux, Hélène follows her instincts alone for the first time in her life and travels north. On her arrival in Norway, the images open up and Hélène immerses herself in nature - symbolically heightened in the film. The endless expanse of Norway and the unusual friendship with 'Mister' do her good. In the midst of imposing fjords, in front of high mountains and in the glistening light of the Norwegian spring, Hélène can catch her breath and think differently about herself and her life. Mathieu, meanwhile, decides not to give up and travels to Norway.
