While visiting ancient ruins in Turkey, American tourists Hope and Jeb get left behind by their tour bus. The new acquaintances do not get along at first. However, stranded without their passports and most of their belongings, the pair is forced to work together to find their way back. Hope and Jeb walk and hitchhike through the country, bartering for food and shelter. Along the way, the two start to get close. Hope talks about a recent loss of a loved one, which is the reason for her trip. Jeb is worried that his career is in jeopardy. Despite all of these problems, their crazy journey and new friendship could help them put everything into perspective.
