In Due Time

Asim (Jada Jay) is not the typical teen. She is the cheerful geek that everyone wants to know, is apprehensive by her affluent popularity, and the social nerd with multiple love interests. Asim and Thurstan (Nulu DonJuan) grew up eyeing each other throughout grade school. They finally link when attending different high schools and have been steady since. Their stable relationship grows content with distance in proximity that forces a divide they cannot compete against. Asim and Billy's (Saint Williams) distant ages kept them romantically apart, though emotionally, they are attached. With her being an adolescent while him in his teens, their connection is stretched to the limit. Both faced with significant personal decisions to make, forces a divide they cannot compete against. Asim and Walee (Yasmen Pickens) are teens meeting for the first time yet are able to give each other more than anything high school can give them. Walee is a new student and a new incentive for Asim to keep inspired. He is from a disadvantaged family and has little to offer her but a reflection of herself. The pressures of teenage relationships force a divide that they cannot compete against. Whether their friendship is superficial- an act of charity or the real thing- love, is a mystery uncovered in due time.
