Manmohan Desai an old man is seen coming out of the court who has legally changed his name to Mohan Desai the story takes back to 20 years when he is searching for his lost son in law Amitabh Gadgill who went missing leaving behind his pregnant wife Jaya.Desai in vain allover goes to an astrologer Godbole who asks him to change his name legally as his filmy name would further lead to more chaos Jaya who has already delivered triplets few years back Amar,Dilip and Jyoti goes to seek help from a Maharaj in order to find missing Amitabh.The Maharaj turns out to be a fraudster Baban whose sister Devaki (Akka) a Dacoit attacks his place in order to find her missing daughter Rekha in the mishap Jaya separates from her two kids Amar and Jyoti while Dilip is with her on the other side Akka and Babban get arrested. Years later Jaya is still in search for her kids in filmy style while Akka and Babban release from jail and are thirsty for each other blood while Dilip whose with Jaya wants to be an actor and gets the name Dil,Amar an undercover cop adopted by Rekha is known as Dimag Bhai for his temper and Jyoti adopted by a Koli fisher women Hema and named as Batti also wants to be an actor.While Babban decides to produce a film for Abbas Taxiwala for a new business line and also gets offer to kidnap Manmohan Desai from an Arab ,Akka two gets a tip to kidnap Manmohan Desai from a the same all the characters Jaya,Hema,Rekha ,Amitabh (Dharmendra),Arab,Desai with Dil,Dimag and Batti gather in Alibagh leading to comedy of errors.
